  • CHANGING EYE COLOR IN ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

In this tutorial, I'm going to show you a simple and easy way to get vibrant eye colors with crystal like shimmer.

You can easily go from dark brown eyes to a misty light color.

First, select the iris with a selection tool (lasso, circular selection, pen tool, etc).

Next, you're going to colorize your iris.

    ctrl + U > Colorize

Pick any shade you'd like; I went with blue, so you can't see a distinct change just yet.

Now comes adding the shimmer and shine.

Take your Color Dodge Tool (right click on Burn Tool / Sponge Tool) and choose a basic soft round brush.

Set the Exposure to about 50% and dab around the iris until your color shines through. Make sure not to overdo it!

To add a more realistic shape to the color, change your brush to a splatter textured brush.

    Dab around once again.

Do this technique with both eyes. Make sure the pupils align and if angled, the colors change and appear less.

In the end, this is what I ended up with.

I detoured to a green-ish blue-grey eye with heavy shine. This tutorial would be perfect if you're trying to make tear-filled or watery eyes.
